You have scanned the QR code on one of the 47 mysterious vinyls around Clapham High Street and arrived here…our ‘teaser campaign’ has worked! So…
Welcome to ‘Behind the Shop Facade: The Life of Maurice Dorfman’.
At this website you will find all the details of the photography exhibition and book that has been created as a tribute to Maurice Dorfman, who ran Jeannette Fashions, the haberdashery on Clapham High Street, for an incredible 60 years until his death in 2020 at the age of 87.
The photography exhibition will be staged at Clapham Library April 1st-30th. Admission is free and you don’t have to book.
The vinyl installation around Clapham has been designed by Ruth Grover; you can contact her via this website using the contact page. You can see all of the vinyl installations here.
With sincere thanks to Jeremy Keates and the Clapham BID for supporting the exhibition and the public art exhibition.
